Privacy Policy

The short version

Park Pulse is built to need as little of your data as possible. There are no accounts, no ads, and no cross-app tracking. We record a small amount of anonymous, device-scoped usage data — like which upgrade screens you see — to improve the app, never linked to you and never sold. We don’t sell your data, and almost everything the app stores stays on your device or in your own iCloud.

No account needed

You don’t create an account to use Park Pulse — there’s no email, password, or profile. To keep our servers secure, the app verifies itself using Apple’s App Attest, which confirms a request is coming from a genuine copy of the app on a real device. This relies on a device identifier that isn’t tied to your name or your Apple Account.

What the app accesses on your device

  • Location — only when you use nearby-park features, and only to work out which park you’re near. It’s used on your device and isn’t sent to our servers.
  • Notifications — if you turn on alerts, Apple gives the app a push token so we can deliver them. It’s stored on our server only to send your notifications, and it’s removed when you turn alerts off.

What stays on your device and in your iCloud

Your favorites, plans, reservations, Digital Passport, and park selections are stored on your device and synced across your own devices through your private iCloud. This data lives in your Apple Account — we can’t read it.

To deliver alerts to all your devices, Park Pulse also creates a random sync ID, stores it in your iCloud, and sends it to our servers. It links your devices to each other for notifications only — it’s tied to no name, email, or Apple Account, and you can reset it anytime under Notification Settings.

Apple services we rely on

Park Pulse uses Apple frameworks that handle their own data: WeatherKit for weather, Apple Push Notification service for alerts, iCloud and CloudKit for sync, and the App Store for Park Pulse+ subscriptions. Your use of these is covered by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Anonymous usage data

To understand what’s working and improve the app, Park Pulse records a small number of anonymous in-app usage events — for example, which Park Pulse+ upgrade screens you see and whether a purchase succeeds. These are counted against a random device ID that isn’t tied to your name, email, or Apple Account. They’re never used to track you across other apps or websites, and are never sold or shared.

What we don’t do

  • No tracking across other apps or websites.
  • No advertising or advertising identifiers.
  • No third-party analytics or marketing SDKs.
  • No selling or sharing your data with anyone.

Theme park data

Wait times, forecasts, and other park information come from public sources and our own servers. That’s information about the parks, not about you.

Children

Park Pulse isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your choices

  • Turn location or notifications on or off anytime in iOS Settings.
  • Delete everything the app stores by deleting the app; to also remove synced data, delete it from iCloud in iOS Settings.
  • Reset your sync ID under Settings → Notifications to unlink this device’s alerts from your other devices.
  • Email us with any privacy question or request.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above and the copy here and in the app.
